Low Fat Gravy

1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup mushrooms, finely chopped
2 cups chicken stock
2 tbsp cornflour
Salt and pepper

In a small saucepan, saute the onion and mushroom in a little of the chicken stock until the onion is translucent. Stir the cornflour into the remaining stock.Add to the pan and stir until thickened. Add some salt and pepper to taste.

This low-fat sauce is a great alternative to traditional gravy. It is delicious over chicken or even turkey slices.
